Kyra and Eli Raising Butterflies

This fall Kyra and Eli got the chance to raise butterflies for their Science Fair project. We got 5 painted lady butterflies in the mail and watched as they changed into beautiful butterflies.
I was smarter this time around and made sure to release them before they mated and sprayed eggs all over my kitchen like last time. We released all 5 butterflies in a neighbor's garden.

"I saw a butterfly land on me! The butterfly went on my shoulder and elbow. I wanted to touch one and Gannon was going to touch one so I got in Gannon’s spot. I touched one. It was waaaaay cool."
